Twenty Eleven theme not displaying in IE 8?

I upgraded the hlaakc.com site to the theme Twenty Eleven about a month ago. Recently I had two people contact me and say that the site was not legible in their browsers. They are using Internet Explorer 8, and say that it’s black type on a dark purple background. So, for some reason, the background of the posts, which should be white, isn’t showing up. I can’t replicate their problem on any browser at all. Anybody have any clue why this might be happening to a select few people on IE8?

I’m on XP using IE8 and I see a black/dark purple gradient background edging. The background behind the posts is white.

Using Firefox 6.0.1 I see an identical display.

Yes, I upgraded my IE8 this morning. It was previously IE8 as well but there have been some changes made to the IE8 version so that may be the cause.

Thanks timethief. I don’t really know what else to tell these people except refresh their browsers. I can’t see their problem on any of my browsers/computers. Thanks again.

  • moshiecreations, we’ll look into what’s happening here and see what’s up. In the meantime, let us know if you see any other theme wonkiness.
