Twenty Fifteen theme page says it's available on WordPress.org (it's not)
-
The Twenty Fifteen theme page says the theme is available for self-hosted WordPress.org sites (in the sidebar, under Stats and Info).
It’s not available (yet) for self-hosted sites.
Can the wording be changed? A couple people on Twitter commented they tried to find the theme on WordPress.org, with no luck.

Sorry about that – Twenty Fifteen is indeed not yet available for download on WordPress.org and we’ll get that fixed up soon!

For technical reasons it looks like we won’t be able to change that link for now (the newer theme showcase page has no link) but the theme should be launched for self-hosted sites within the next few weeks, as soon as WordPress 4.1 is released. Keep your eye on https://wordpress.org/news/ for the announcement.

Thanks, I have a site using wordpress.org that I wanted to try it on and I was so disappointed to see Twenty Fifteen wasn’t there.

Twenty Fifteen will be available as part of the impending WordPress 4.1 release, so stay tuned! The developers are incorporating feedback from WordPress.com users in the meantime.

You can test out Twenty Fifteen on a self-hosted site by downloading the WordPress 4.1 release candidate. Best to test it on a development or test site, not a production site.
