  How do I go about to put in a background repeat in the ”header”/sidebar in Twenty Fifteen?

  @tassitus, Go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS and see what you think.

  body:before, .site-header {
      background: url("https://tassitus.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/afewflakes.png") repeat scroll 0 0 transparent !important;
  }
