Twenty Fourteen – Blog Posts on home page to show up on other pages

  Hi there,

  Is it possible to get certain blog posts to show up on other pages on my site?

  For example on my site (I’m using theme Twenty Fourteen) I have a post titles ‘Finding the magin in Marrakech’ but I want it to appear on my ‘Travel Throwbacks’ page also.

  Yeah kind of. I managed to get the blog post on to the ‘Travel Throwbacks’ page but it won’t allow me to have a header image for that page or write a static piece of text before the blog posts? Any suggestions?

  Hi, If you have a header image set at Customize > Header Image, that image will appear on the Category, Tag and Date Archive pages, as well as on any pages that you have not set a featured image. If a featured image is set, then that will show on static pages instead of the header image. If you wanted unique images in the header area of category pages, set a Header Image and then post back here and I can give you a the custom CSS to replace that image with the one you wish to use.

  You can add Category Descriptions, which will appear right below the Category Archives title on Category pages. You can add descriptions by going to your Admin Dashboard and then go to Posts > Categories, click on the categories to edit them and then add your description and save.
