Twenty Fourteen Padding Help

  Hello all,

  I am very new to all this, but I hope this is a simple solve for someone out there. I have some grey padding at the right of my website. I would very much like to get rid of this and have the website 100% of the screen. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get rid of this? Hopefully some simple CSS that can be added?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi Fresatomica,

  Thank you for your reply.

  I do have a WordPress.com website, but the reason I did not link to it is I just have an under construction page up at present until I get a bit more built. I am actually moving from another host who is sadly closing down, so I have had to rebuild my site due to the custom website builder my former host used could not be migrated.

  I hope someone can help me.

  It’s difficult to help with custom CSS without seeing your site and its code but please note that Twenty Fourteen is a quite old theme and, rather than trying to modify it, you may want to activate a newer one, like Twenty Twenty which does support full-width pages.

  Thank you Fresatomica, Yes I understand, I will look at the more up to date theme. It’s not vital I get it sorted, I just think it would look a bit better :-)

  It is definitely WordPress.com I am with, but hosted through a host company here in the UK that is closing the platform website builder I was on since 2007. So I have had to rebuild from scratch.

  Thank you again, and I will perhaps post again with a link to my site once I have a bit more content uploaded.
