Twenty Fourteen: slider changing automatically

Hello!
I am looking for a way to make the content of the featured slider change automatically. Right now, it stays on the first picture and the user have to manually click to get to the next content. Any way to automate that? Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately it looks like this isn’t something the theme lets you do and CSS is for styling rather than for scripting so the upgrade won’t help (as far as I can tell).

Im going to leave this thread open a little longer in case some web-wizard was to come by and find a magic fix for my need. Otherwise… well I guess Ill work around this.

Here’s a similar question where a WordPress member of staff has said it’s not possible, sorry.
I think the best you can do is check out some other themes that do have automatic sliders, just in case you like the look of any of them – you can find a fairly recent list in this forum post. Good luck!

To be crystal clear on this, as you cannot access and edit any of the PHP or underlying HTML, there is no way to do what you want to do on a WordPress.COM blog wearing that theme.

I understand that it is sadly not possible. What I meant was that I would find a different way to display my information, so that it would be equally visually efficient and obvious on my first page without using the slider (ill customize my welcome page better, use sidebar buttons and it should do the trick).

The “level of information” I was refering to was regarding the impact of each element on my homepage, not to fiddle around some code I am not supposed to fiddle around with.
I just realize now my wording was confusing! Duh!
