Twenty Fourteen: tabs show up as vertical list

  I am testing out the Twenty Fourteen theme and am having a problem with tabs within a sidebar widget. (Our live site uses the WP-Clear theme.)

  For some reason, no matter how much I play with CSS and try to get it to display a set of tabs, it shows the tab names in a vertical list.

  For the desired appearance, please go to our production site (www.jamesriverfilm.org) and look at the sidebar with Subscribe, Archives, Tags, and Popular tabs.

  I am completely flummoxed. :(

  Oh, and if it matters, our test and live sites are hosted with DreamHost.
