Twenty Fourteen theme

  I just recently changed my theme to Twenty Fourteen and did so because I wanted to make it look exactly like the demo page described. However, I’m having issues not being able to do so. Would you be able to help? Thank you.

  Hey there!

  I can definitely help with the setup of Twenty Fourteen!

  First, I want to make sure you have the theme’s support documentation, as it has some setup information for you:
  https://wordpress.com/themes/twentyfourteen/

  It appears as if that grid of featured posts/images is what’s missing from your site. You’ll see the instructions for that in the link I provided.

  Once you’re done with that configuration, please let me know what other issues you’re working on, specifically, and I can send you instructions!

  I went ahead and went into featured content and changed it to slider, however, it’s not changed in the layout. Is there something I’m not doing right?

  Hey there!

  You haven’t set this up quite right…here is an adjustment you can make:

  1. Go to your Customizer by clicking the link below:
     https://anthonylw05.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fanthonylw05.wordpress.com%2F
  2. Open Featured Content.
  3. Change the name of your tag name to “featured,” Then, save the changes you made.
  4. Now, open the posts you want to appear in your slider. In those posts, you will add “featured” to their tags. Then, click Update to save those changes.

  Okay I went ahead and changed the tag name to “featured” in the feature content section. Then I went to my posts and added featured tags as well. However, I’m still not seeing a slider on my page.

  If you’re not seeing the slider, you may need to clear your browser’s cache using the instructions below:

  Sorry it’s been a while since I replied back but thank you for your help the other day. But I also had another question. Is it possible for me to widen the writing space so it doesn’t look too narrow?
