Twenty Fourteen Theme Grid – 3 only

  Hi, is it possible to automatically change the grid on this theme to just show the latest 3 in the category chosen to display in the grid?

  Currently, things tagged, homepageslideshow, appear in the grid, but i only want the latest 3.

  Is this possible?
