Twenty Seventeen: can I have less than 55 words before 'Continue reading'?
-
Hi
I like the ‘Continue reading’ link on https://ubblogtest.wordpress.com and https://ubblogtest.wordpress.com/alle, but would like to move it to an earlier place in the text.
Now it’s after 55 words, but I can’t find the place to change that, neither on wordpress.com/customize/… not …/wp-admin.
I have custom css activated, so that might be the way?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi
The Read More tag is simple to use, and the instructions are:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/You can move it in the HTML editor by cutting and pasting it to wherever you would like.
Enjoy

@manuschwendener It sounds like you have the post excerpt button activated on some of your posts in the twenty seventeen theme. You could just change that to showing full posts. Then you could insert the “Read more” tag as described by @dave2swords if you wanted to show less content than 55 words per post.

Thank you for your help :-)
Indeed: if I change to Full post via wordpress.com/customize/… – Content Options I get the more-tag to work on https://ubblogtest.wordpress.com/alle – that’s good to know :-)
But at the same time I lose the ‘Continue reading’ link on https://ubblogtest.wordpress.com.
So for the moment I switched back to Post excerpt.
