Twenty seventeen header video

    Hi
The Youtube video header does not fill the width of the page. Any ideas? Thanks so much,

    Colette

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Colette,

I’m currently seeing a “This video is unavailable message” when attempting to access the URL you added to the theme’s header image field. Would you be able to add another URL so that I can see the effect you mentioned?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Yes, thank you, it started out as kolibri935.wordpress.com before I mapped the kolibritheband.com domain name.

Also, I have changed the status of the youtube video from ‘private’ to ‘unlisted’ in case that was the problem.

    Many thanks!

Your video was removed by YouTube for violating their TOS.

Please re-upload it so we can help with your error.

    Hi

I’ve re-uploaded the video (with a credits page this time!) and the problem persists.

    Many thanks, Colette

Please bear with me, youtube have removed the video again with no explanation (other than it breaches wide-ranging community guidelines, the only one which could be remotely relevant is copyright). I have appealed because the video contains only licensed images and the music (if audible) is my son’s band’s own music, and I’ve even put a credits page at the end of the video slideshow, so I don’t know what their problem could possibly be!

I’ll get back to you when the issue with Youtube is, hopefully, resolved and I can post it to my website header video slot again.

    Many thanks,
    Colette

Hi, the Youtube videos seem to be up and running again. The problem with the TwentySeventeen video header is still there … the picture doesn’t extend all the way to the right hand side … perhaps because of the pause button? It looks very clunky.

    Many thanks,
    Colette

    Hi,

I have upgraded to premium so that I can upload my own video header instead of relying on Youtube, and the problem has gone. Thanks.

  • Glad you’re all set!
