twenty seventeen logo on menu clickable and align middle with nav itens

hi people, i customizing a site with twenty seventeen theme, and need:
1) put the logo inside menu.
2) logo must be clickable
3) logo and nav itens must be vertical aligned at centered / middle

for item 1, i get this great support from topic on forum
i use the code that is share and works. but i need the itens 2 and 3 work too.

Hi Eliza,
nice to meet you. I already try, changing padding-top of nav menu itens (li)… check in
ckeck the url
and to put link on logo… i cannot do it yet.
Instead of use internal pages as sections, i will need to use all content on home….
to click in menu itens and go to ‘section’, i probably need to custom other codes too.
any suggestion?

Hi mgerais,

Your website doesn’t seem to be hosted by WordPress.com, instead it is using the WordPress.org software on your own server (self-hosted). This forum is for providing support only for websites hosted on WordPress.com

There are two versions of WordPress – WordPress.com and WordPress.org. You can find more information about the differences between them here.

However, for the vertical align you can use line-height for the wrap element and remove its current top padding as well as the top-padding of the children. The line-height must be at least as much as the menu height or bigger (which in your case depends on the logo height). As for the logo, there are plugins letting you do that or you can also put it in the php code but I would suggest that you look at the support page of WordPress.org and their forum – https://wordpress.org/support/. If you don’t have an account there you can create one for free here.

I already made some increments on this website.
I will try to use line-height instead padding-top to resolve the menu itens.

I know that this forum is about wordpress.com, but i have a doubt that, i think its generic for twenty seventeen theme. im using a wide gif as cover image (the featured / custom-header-media);
if i use mobile to access (on vertical mode), the gif is not showing all. see it on: here
i create another gif, in vertical format, to use in mobile friendly vertical access.
what i must do or change to it works?
anyone can help me??

to get responsive custom header image, i get the code by this post forum, at here, from this user (thesacred, Richard S. ‘s profile): user
its works well, but…
but now, the menu is ‘disappear’ from bottom… its bellow the image.
how i can have the responsive image, but menu continous appearing on bottom of page??
