Twenty Seventeen Theme – Outline/Shadow title and tagline on homepage
-
The default font for the homepage on the twenty seventeen theme is white. On a image background that has some light areas in it, it would look a lot better if I could outline the font in black or do some sort of dropshadow on it, as the text tends to disappear in the image. I am not that knowledgeable on CSS . Is there a CSS tweak I can do to give more contrast to the font like an outline or a drop shadow?

Add the following code to CSS option under Customize:
.site-title {
color: black;
}Hope this helps.

Thank-you, however that didn’t make a difference.
I am trying to change the “site title” and “tagline” which is the text under the “customizing site identity” section of the twenty seventeen theme. The text is white and is on top of an image that has a mix of dark, light, and grey, so the text may not be visible, depending where it shows on the image after resizing. So just changing it to black wouldn’t help that much.
Ideally, I’d like to either have a way to outline the font in black, or use a black drop shadow, which I think would help it pop, regardless if it is on a light or dark section of the photo.
And I’m open to alternative design ideas as well. Thank-you!
