Twenty Ten 2010 sidebar in pages
-
I recently changed my theme to 2010 and am having a problem that my page, set to “wide template no sidebar” still has a sidebar and the content is put into in boxes with side scrolling bars to be able to read everything. There must be a way to get rid of that.

Hi there,
That page is still set to the default template. You need to pick ‘one column, no sidebar’ in Page Attributes and update the page:
https://cloudup.com/cKwZUehFklzFor the content being in the scrolling boxes, that’s something you’ve created in the page using HTML. Another option might be to turn those sections into image files and upload them as images.
Let me know if you have further questions!

Thanks eurello. Making those “scrolling box” sections into images might be a little above my knowledge base, but I’ll mess around with it.
It raised a concern for me because I was using Suits theme before and there were no scrolling boxes or sidebar problem, and I know I used the basic default settings in Suits and didn’t change anything HTML-wise because I don’t know how to. I simply activated 2010, with the same CSS code.

You might need to reformat that post. What you have right now is a background color and quote style applied to each of those three sections with a pre style for the text formatting. I’m not sure what’s causing the text not to wrap, but I’m guessing it’s the background color.
If you edit that page and click the Text editor, rather than the Visual editor, you can see the HTML tags that are in it:

Thanks that totally fixed it! It’d be nice to have some sort of shaded blockquote there, but I guess I don’t really know the difference between span and pre.
