Twenty Ten CSS questions!

    I’ve been changing the layout on my blog and I haven’t done CSS in a while so I’m stuck on a few things I would hope someone could answer! They are probably pretty simple. The link to my blog is: http://itsretro.wordpress.com/

    1. I deleted the header that you upload to wordpress and want to add my own. I’ve tried adding img to the branding, where it said had to do with your header image, but nothing shows up!

    2. How do I remove the text from the top? That says it’s retro?

    3. The menu bar at the top, where would I go about changing that color?

    I really hope someone can help me, especially with the header, I’ve tried everything and I’m completely lost!

    Note that when using CSS the header image uploader cannot be used. You you must upload an image for your header into your Media Library and include the link to it in your CSS modifications.     The CSS uograde will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. It does not allow you to remove footer links to the theme designer or to wordpress.com. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.

    Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support you will have to be patient while waiting for one of the two Volunteers who help with CSS to help you. And please search as well because these questions have been asked and answered previously.

    1. Did you go to appearance > header and select to not have a header image? As I remember that is necessary to be able to add one via CSS.

    2. This will get rid of the title and tagline. The padding for masthead is to keep the image from going flush to the top.
