Twenty Ten Theme problems
-
I have the twenty ten theme on my blog. Today when I pulled it up i noticed that the bar that ran at the bottom of my header which list the pages is gone. I have logged out and back in but it is not coming up anymore. I don’t know what has happened. Also, when I go to the themes list I cannot find the twenty ten theme in the listing anymore. Is the theme still available?
Any help with getting the bar back or will I have to change my theme?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Once you select a theme it no longer appears among the themes you can select because it’s already displaying on your blog. I do see your blog and the horizontal menu has disappeared. that means you till have to contact Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks timethief. I sent support an email describing the disappearance of the menu bar and your suggestion to contact them. Hopefully I can get it fixed. I really don’t want to have to start over, or redo it all though so I hope they can help.

@Stck13
You’re welcome. Volunteers don’t have backend access to blogs, only Staff do. Yes they can help you. For all we know this disappearance may have even been caused by the Theme Team doing an upgrade or by other Staff doing an upgrade. -
I’ve created a few twentyten themed blogs now and I am having the same problem on each. The initial page that loads and possibly a few others look great but when you go into the single page view the text appears on top of my header image and extending off the right side of the screen. Here is an page where this is happening, http://www.gmpetersonphoto.com/about/ I’m not sure if it is a browser issue or maybe I’m guilty of removing some of the code I shouldn’t have that is allowing this. Please help.

Your about page looks in general looks just like the main page of your blog to me – as does all the other pages on your blog both in Safari 5 and FF 3.6.3.

Thanks for the reply. I am seeing the text out of whack up in the upper right on FF 3.6.6. Still confused why this is happening…
I just realized when I found this thread I was at wordpress.COM not .ORG. I am running my own database install of wordpress, not a blogger account at wordpress.com. Maybe I am in the wrong forum then?

Using Twenty Ten when I make a post that has links to a file (like a word document) it all looks fine in ‘view post’ but when I view the actual blog page and click the category the link in the post is not highlighted! Seems to be the same for embedded videos, pictures etc … So, what am I doing wrong? Everything works in other themes. Any help appreciated.

@pwatland
In the blog linked to your username, using a Firefox 3.6.6 browser I see highlighted links in your most recent post. I clicked some of the links in that post which seems as though it may be the only one in the blog as yet and they all led to password protected posts.Protected: Teaching and Learning Philosophy

@pwatland: That’s normal behavior in all themes that display beginnings of posts in category pages. When only the beginnings are displayed, all html tags are stripped out; this means that italics etc. will show as plain text, links will also show as plain text and won’t be active, and images etc. won’t show up at all. When one views a single post, links and everything are ok.
If you don’t like that and wish to display complete posts on your category pages, you need to copy the whole content of the post from the HTML editor and paste it into the Excerpt box.

Timethief .. The pages work fine … its the posts that are the problem … there are posts that are not password protected there now …
