Twenty Ten Theme

@christinekakaire-Not at the moment, no. Some of the other new themes have the option of hiding the “Home” link (such as Bueno), so perhaps Staff will make it possible at some time on Twenty-Ten.
-
I just noticed a blog with twenty-ten theme where the header image would change with the individual blog post. For example, if a blog post has an image and if I click on the post URL, the theme header would pickup the image from the blog post itself.
How’s that possible? I can’t find such a setting.

I totally do not like the black strip with the home link under the header image. I thought I deleted my pages to remove that strip but the home link showed up on its own. There should be an option to change the black color if we have to have a section under the header image. The home link should actually be on the header image as the image itself is wasting space without being effective, plus the size of the header image is too big. I also do not like the red URL color when you hoover over the mouse to blog posts title.
Anyways, I have not read the comments above on this thread, just throwing my views to the mix, for whatever it is worth.

There isn’t such a setting on the wordpress.com version that I can find. But devblog also has different header image for each Page approach that can be used but I’m not able to find the post link right now. Search here > http://csswiz.wordpress.com/ -

LOL … :D I just checked the support documentation for you and found this – setting a featured image http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/ -
I am enjoying using 2010 http://bearriver.ca
AND I figured out how to create a tab that said ‘blog’ and linked to the blog portion. You’ll remember that this theme launched with no ‘home’ or ‘blog’ button.
Well, now a ‘home’ button has been added……great:-) But I kinda got used to the ‘blog’ button and wondered how to change the ‘home’ button to read ‘blog’.Help!
Other than that, it’s a great theme….though I’d like it if the menu was a bit easier to read. That grey on black is tough on these old eyes. -
I’m using the 2010 theme and want to add header tabs (About, Resources, etc), but in the Add New Pages window the only options that show are “Template” and “Order”. I’m missing the “Parent” option. I’ve tried other themes with header tab options and I’m having the same problem.

@Barabara
The solution is simple. Create a static Page for each of the titles you posted above. Look in the right hand column and locate “Attributes”. Scroll down to > Template
Page Template and choose “Default Template”. -
I’d already done that. And I just figured it out. In my attempt to keep things private until I get all my info and pages up, I was selecting the private option not only for the blog, but for each page. That’s why I couldn’t see it (duh!).
Thanks for your help, though.

Featured image, got it, thanks. Not sure how I missed them altogether. It seems they’re theme specific and not across the board. However, I’m not liking the way image size is being proportioned for the header, but anyway, nice new feature.

what are the primary and secondary widget areas are for?
As far as I see, they both locate on the same side bar. why two widget areas in stead o one?

Hi everyone…my name is Keong and I am writing from Kuala Lumpur. I am new to this Twenty Ten theme, like it very much but at the same time, struggling. Am NOT code savy at all.
My blog if for my new venture. Its called http://www.learning-adventures.net
I have two problems.
1…whenever I open the site, on the page tab will be a logo of the hosting company I am using. How can I remove that?2…I manage to install the calendar by Kieran on the site but I donno how to resize it. It overlaps to my right column. I asked for help on the plugin website and the only help I got was to fix it through the style sheet. What is that? Can anyone help?
Thanks,
KEONG -
