Twenty Ten: why are there no images for posts in my Category pages?

  I’ve found that if I create menu items for my various categories, all the posts in that category appear but none of the images! Does this have to do with my theme (Twenty Ten) or is this a universal thing? Can I change it?

  Hi Matty. That’s the way that particular theme is designed, but there is a workaround for it:

  I have images to go along with my posts in the dynamically created category pages.

  Select”gallery” for the post format and it creates a thumbnail in the drop down list.

  Post Formats

  The only thing about this which I’d like to see improved is being able to select your own thumbnail image. The randomly generated ones are a little random.

  If you want to see it in action. The “Art Compilation”, “fringe photos” and “Ian’s Blog” links on my menu bar are all category links created in the custom menu setting.
