Twenty Thirteen: problem with audio
-
I’ve tested audio with a remote url http://www.radio.rai.it/podcast/A42610409.mp3
and it doesn’t seem to work
http://www.pivari.com/fotografie/polaroid-edwin-land-23682/Is the problem in the mp3 or in the theme?

None of the two: the problem is you didn’t use the shortcode correctly. Correct shortcode:
[audio http://www.radio.rai.it/podcast/A42610409.mp3] -
I don’t use the short code. You can view the shot code that the theme made.
Is this the theme bug? -
Well, you have to use the shortcode. The job of the audio post format isn’t to turn a URL into a player, it’s job is merely to change the appearance of a post so as to mark that the post is or contains audio.
-
That said, what you found is a bug: the post shouldn’t display what it’s displaying if you just paste the mp3 URL.
-
I’ve interted the code you told me and it work.
With foto, video, … you can simply insert the url
In every case I think it’s not correct the description:“Audio embed code or URL”
-
“Audio embed code or URL”: where exactly did you see this?
What I can say is
a) An mp3 URL will automatically be turned into a player if the mp3 has been uploaded to your blog; if it’s hosted elsewhere you need the shortcode.
b) What you saw in the post is wrong anyway: pasting the URL should produce nothing, or the actual URL, or a link, or a player – anything other than code! -
In every case I think it’s not so complex to correct the problem.
When I introduced the url the code generated is near to the right code. -

Hi, we’re tracking an issue related to audio shortcodes in core WordPress — see http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/24235
Once we know more, and a fix is ready, we’ll bring it to WordPress.com.
