Twenty Twelfe: how can I collapse elements on a page?
-
Hi
I am building some long static pages which I would like to make more readable by collapsing several elements.
= You see the title or the start of text for an element and have to click to reveal the whole text.
The “More” tag is not working in this case, I need to collapse several elements on the same page.
If this is not possible with Twenty Twelfe, is there a – preferably official – theme that can do this?
Thank you

I’m afraid something like that would not be possible without theme modifications, which is only possible on the WordPress.com Business plan or higher. Also, modifications of this nature would fall outside the scope of support we can provide, so you would need to research that on your own.
However, you could implement pagination to your longer posts by using the Page Break Block – while it wouldn’t do the same thing you describe, it would make those longer posts more manageable for the reader.
I hope that helps!

Found it, though

Hi there,
Yes, if you are comfortable with editing your content directly in HTML, then that option will definitely work. We don’t often suggest it however, since most folks are looking for a block-based solution, which we do not have built in to the default WordPress.com platform. That option can be added via our Business Plan (as noted above) but the HTML method does serve as a workaround you can use without upgrading.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
