Twenty Twenty-Five Theme Limited to Narrow Content Width?

So I’m new to WordPress, having used Blogger for years. I find the editor easy enough to navigate, but the site itself seems to have a terrible UI that’s all over the place. Anyway here’s a quick question. I’ve put together a basic blog that looks crummy, but it’s only provisional. I can’t make the text content wider to fill most of the page width. I presume this is a limitation of the theme if I don’t upgrade?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Is it possible to edit forum posts?

I tried changing the width in Appearance > Editor > Styles, but discovered any changes made here are only rendered if one upgrades.

So there appears to be a glitch in the editor. Suddenly when fiddling with the header width, content widened to the full width of the screen. The editor didn’t complain about it being a premium change and when I view the site on another browser, without being logged in, it shows that the content is indeed full width.
