Twenty-Twenty-Two Theme Fonts
-
Hi,
In the twenty-twenty-two theme, I’m trying to change the font family in global styles but only have “default”/”system font”/”source serif pro” as options.
The homepage content was imported from what I had before on the blank canvas theme and has the same font it did then (Poppins). I’m not sure how to get this on the rest of my pages?
A Google search tells me that you can add font families via the theme.json file, but I’m not sure if this is possible on WordPress.com or what level of plan would be needed?
I was able to change the theme’s default colours using global styles, I’m not sure why font-families would be so restricted.
Unless I’m missing something? Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
This is a bug with the new site editor, rather than with Twenty Twenty-Two itself.
It looks like the fix for this will need to come from WordPress.org’s end, but our developers are actively working on this from ours.
For now I’m afraid there’s no workarounds, and I’m not able to tell you when this will be fixed, so if the font is important, you may want to consider sticking with Blank Canvas for a while longer.

No that’s fine, I’m just at the development stage and can change the fonts once it has been fixed. I appreciate it’s a new system.
Thanks!

Thank you for understanding :)
