Twentyfourteen gallery bug
-
The gallery widget on the primary sidebar is horribly fubarred:
Not only is it totally grey (I use IE 11.0.10), but the navigation buttons are all off too.
N.B. Furthermore, I find it rather frustrating Worldpress apparently set things up in such a way, that you can’t contact them at all, or file a bug report, etc.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not much we forum volunteers can do to offer help since your entire site is marked Private. I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance.

Thx for you reply, Jennifer. :)
I figured at least the media files would be visible (as in the above image link). Anyway, I opened it up again (not much to see really, as I just started building it).

If your site is Private, we can’t see anything.
I don’t see a Gallery widget in the sidebar. Is it possible that you removed it?
-
It wasn’t working. Hence the screengrab. :)
I just added it again, though, so you can see it live.

In Chrome 36 only a blank square where the slideshow style Gallery widget appears; not even any slideshow navigation buttons.
In IE11 and FF31, the widget is blank and hovering the cursor over the Gallery widget makes the navigation buttons appear, but indeed they are misplaced on the page.
Have you tried using any of the other Gallery styles to see if the images appear?
Marked again for Staff assistance. If you wish to return your site to being Private that is fine. Staff can see all sites, even those marked Private.

Hi there!
Can you try and go back to your Widgets panel here:
https://kiramanell.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
And edit the Gallery widget by adding one or more images to the slideshow? That should get the image to show up in your sidebar. If you wish to use only one image, please choose Tiles, Square Tiles or Circles from the Style option menu instead. For more info on the Gallery widget, please see our support page:

Let me know know if you encounter problems and require any further help. Thanks!

@Andrew-Oh.my. There were no images in the Widget? (My bad!)
Also, would that cause the problem encountered with the misplaced navigation icons in IE11 and FF31?
-
Andrew, while I’m at it, could you please have a look at this too?
Thanks. And thank you too, Jennifer, for the quick help in this topic. :)

Hey Jennifer! There was one image in the slideshow, but having just one causes it not to work properly. By adding one more image, the slideshow starts to work. :)
adding a 2nd image makes it at least show thumbnails, but the navigation buttons are still horribly misplaced.
I’m thinking that area is simply too small for a gallery slideshow.
That’s correct, the sidebar is too narrow to accommodate the widget, causing the navigation buttons to be somewhat misplaced.
Andrew, while I’m at it, could you please have a look at this too?
Twentyfour Theme Header
I’ll do my best to get to that one. Thanks!
