Twentysixteen WordPress Dropdown Menu Speed

  I have a WordPress blog I am setting up on my website and I’m currently using & modifying the twentysixteen theme.

  I’m finding that there is quite a delay in the dropdown menu appearing when I hover over the main nav link and I was wondering if someone can advise how I can speed this up please/provide me some css I can add to the site to achieve this.
