  How do I get my Twitter account attached to my blog and have the twitter icon available for visitors to click on?

  Just use the Share option to put a twitter button on your posts.
  This method enables your readers to share your posts on Twitter. You can enable it for pages too. But it doesn’t show your Twitter updates. The solution above shows your Twitter updates, but it doesn’t provide a way to share a post. Just clarifying the difference.
