Twitter account name was changed

    I recentally changed my twitter account name and all my shares are still pointing to the old account. how can I fix this?

    Hi there. If you go to Settings ->Sharing, at the bottom of the page is the option: “Twitter username to include in tweets when people share using the Twitter button.” That refers to the name that’s included when people click the Twitter share button on your posts and pages. Enter your new username there and save settings.

    Sometimes changing it there doesn’t work. If that happens, just let us know, and include both the old and the new Twitter usernames in your reply.

    If Publicize is auto-sharing your posts to the wrong account, disconnecting and reconnecting it should do the trick. See Reconnecting Twitter, here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services
