Twitter account not correct or updated for sharing

That’s a good sign! I just tried sharing another post from your blog on Twitter, and the correct name showed up this time, so it looks like that fixed it. :) If you continue to have trouble with it, let me know and I’ll see if there’s anything more I can do to help.

I do have the same problem and the solution recommended on this thread did not resolve it. My blog address is https://globalpoliticalanalysis.wordpress.com/
My current twitter id is glopol_analysis.
It was years ago when I changed it from glopolanalysis and did all the necessary steps to connect it to my WP site.
Yet whenever anyone – either I or someone else – shares a post on twitter, it comes up with the old (wrong) twitter id.
If someone could help me to resolve this I would very much appreciate it. Thank you in advance,

Hi there,
I just fixed some of your old posts that were using your old Twitter username, so now all of your posts using the Twitter username glopol_analysis. If you come across a post that is still showing the old username when you share it, can you please give me a link to that post?

Since today I do have another issue. The customised header and background images from my WP site are gone. Whenever I try to apply them again and save the settings, it does not make a difference.
Could you advise or fix this issue? Thank you in advance! -

Hello. I’m facing the same problem over here on: http://alalaian.wordpress.com
My username on wordpress was @alalaian, the same as my old twitter handle. Since then I changed my twitter handle to @aalalaian, but the tweet summary function still shows up the old twitter handle which has been taken by another person. I tried changing my wordpress username, I even deleted all posts that were published before I changed my twitter handle. Nothing worked.
Your help would be immensely appreciated as it’s really annoying me!

Thanks for those links! I found that your blog’s Sharing Buttons settings still had your old Twitter handle listed. I updated that for you and fixed those old posts, so they are using your new Twitter handle now.
If you still see the old Twitter handle anywhere, please let me know. :)

Thank you so much for your latest advice as well. Meanwhile I found a way to resolve the issue.
The theme I am using for the blog has certain options which I needed to change back to allow customised header/background. What I don’t understand how come these options were suddenly disabled so I had to enable them.Best regards,
