Twitter and Facebook Widgets Not Working
-
I have two websites I’m referring to with this post:
https://www.nwoaa.com (my business site)
and…
https://www.dmf84.com (my personal site)
I’ve noticed that suddenly the Twitter, and Facebook Widgets are no longer showing content as they normally do. I’ve made no changes whatsoever to the widgets, but they now are not working.
I’m assuming since this is an issue on two of my seperate websites, that this may be a issue with all sites?
Is anyone else having this issue, or know what’s going on with these particular widgets?

Hi!
I had a look at both https://nwoaa.com/ and https://dmf84.com/
I see the Facebook and Twitter widgets showing content just about right.
I suggest you clear cache and cookies on your web browsers as explained here, or try using a different web browser to see if that helps.
Let me know how it goes. I am right here if you have questions.

Thank you for the help. I cleared the cache, closed the browser (firefox), and it all seems to be working now. Also want to point out that it may have been an issue with enabling firefox’s new “always on” feature for private browsing that I had enabled. I turned that off as well, and will just use private browser in the future if needed, although I’m not sure that had anything to do with this issue. Learn something new every day I guess. Thanks again :)

Hi there,
> Also want to point out that it may have been an issue with enabling firefox’s new “always on” feature for private browsing that I had enabled.
That would be the cause, yes. Any strict tracking blocker will prevent those widgets from working – I’ve run into the same with Avast Antivirus’s browser add-on. But you should be able to set an exception for specific websites in Firefox Privacy Settings if you want to give that a try.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I didn’t realize that the private tracking thing affected the widgets like that before I set it. I will mark this post as resolved :)

Keep in mind that it only affects you. Visitors to your site will see the widgets or not based on their browser settings, not yours, so if you prefer to keep tracking protection active in your browser it won’t prevent others from seeing the widgets in their browsers.
