Twitter Block

I used to have my twitter feed via the twitter block showing on the front page of my website, but I noticed a month or so ago that it had just become a single link. Nothing I do returns it to its original feed embed appearance. I’ve tried deleting it, adding it elsewhere on the page, etc. :[ It’s very frustrating because I’m most active on Twitter and I’d love for visitors to be able to see that feed. Has this feature been removed? Or is it no longer supported by the theme I’m using?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Twitter block now will only give you your feed if you use your Twitter url. For example if your Twitter handle is @abc123, then you would put your url of https://twitter.com/abc123 in the Twitter block. The Twitter widget is no longer available, and also, this new way of getting your Twitter feed does not offer the option of choosing a light or dark theme. The only way to accomplish that now is with a paid plan that would allow you to embed code from Twitter.

Thank you for your response! But I’ve been using my URL, to no avail. :[

@azaleaforrest – you’re seeing a link because you have software installed or a browser extension blocking social media trackers.

Here’s what it looks like when social media trackers are blocked:

And here’s what it looks like then those blockers are disabled:

So the Twitter block is working; your browser is blocking Twitter’s trackers.

    I hope that helps!

That’s so funny! Of course it’s an extension problem. :p Thank you so much, that makes me feel loads better. I’ll go ahead and figure out which extension is causing the problem! Appreciate all your help.

My tracker security on Edge was set to ‘strict’. I moved it back to ‘recommended’ and it’s fine now. Thanks again! 😊
