Twitter button isn't displaying
-
Hi there,
I’m using the Triton Lite theme and have tried copying and pasting the ‘Follow’ button code from Twitter into the CSS but it still doesn’t seem to be showing.

<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?’http’:’https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+’://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js’;fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document, ‘script’, ‘twitter-wjs’);</script>Ideally I’d like it to be visible on the home page as well as individual post pages – preferably not as a footer but I can’t do this if the button doesn’t even appear!
Thanks a million.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – Please use the Twitter Timeline widget:

Thanks for the reply but this isn’t really what I’m looking for…
I would like to have buttons for Facebook and Twitter to the extreme right of my menu for example as per Font Awesome plugin with WordPress.org. I don’t think this kind of plugin is compatible with WordPress.com though?
If such a plugin can’t be used, I’d ideally like to have social buttons any where near the header, not footer, of the site.
Any help appreciated, thank you!

Hi there – You can create social media buttons in a text widget, and display them in your sidebar. This guide walks you through how:
Add Social Media Buttons to Your Sidebar or Footer
However, your theme, Triton Lite, only shows the sidebar on individual posts and pages, not on the homepage. There’s no way to change that. If you want there to be a sidebar on the home page, you can see if there’s another theme you like just as well:
