Twitter code in Text Widget

  Sorry gang – I’m sure this is a no-brainer for many, but I’m clueless.

  I have the code for the Twitter widget I customized on Twitter.com. I’m trying to place that code into the Text Widget and have it “run the code”. I copy and paste and all that shows up on the page (after save and refresh) is the code.

  What do I need to do to have it function as code rather than render as text?

  You can’t. It will not work because it contains code that is stripped out here for security reasons. We have a twitter widget that’s available. Just use that.
