Twitter Embed not showing media
-
I have embedded a tweet using the manual Twitter code (the automatic code didn’t work), but it’s formatting like a block quote, not a tweet, so the photo attached isn’t coming up.
I ticked the “Show Media” box when I got the embed code from Twitter.
When I manually add the photo through WordPress, the media from the Twitter embed comes up, leading to a double up of the image in the post.
I’ve tried adding a blank image below the tweet as a work around based on the “add the photo manually and the embed works” theory, but it didn’t work.
I’m using Chrome, and I’ve tried fixing it on both a Mac and a PC.
Any thoughts?

To clarify: the tweet’s media content shows on the front page of the blog (nonidoll.com) but not on the page for the post.

I have tried updating with the “Show Media” element of the code removed, but it is still showing the media on the front page. It is no longer doubling up on the image on the post page.

Hi there,
I’m sorry for the trouble you’re having embedding that tweet. For Twitter embeds to work on WordPress.com, you can use the approach described here:
That is, you should be able to paste just this link to your tweet:
https://twitter.com/NoniDoll/statuses/478653018011729920Be sure to paste it on its own line in the post editor, without any formatting or other code around it. It should automatically turn into the full tweet when you view the post.
If that doesn’t work for you, please let me know!

Weird. I tried that as well in my trials the other day to no effect, and now it works? Thanks!

I’m glad it’s working for you now! It’s possible you just ran into a glitch the other day. If you have any trouble with it later on, just let me know. :)
