Twitter followers tracking seems erratic

  My connection to Twitter from my blog seems erratic. I received a notice that I had a new Twitter follower. But the number of followers on my site stats page had not changed. So I repeated the process of going to “settings” and activating the “twitter” connection again. When I went back to check my site stats, it showed 10 fewer followers. Seems a little strange.

  In general, Twitter/FB follower number problems tend to be due to changes with the API’s from those networks.

  Often, kicking it in the bottom with a disconnect and reconnect can jump start things again.
