Twitter handle
-
Tweets to share my latest blog post display the wrong Twitter handle just above the summary of the blog post. It’s a Twitter handle I had a long time ago but I have changed it everywhere within my WordPress settings that I can find under Sharing etc.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s still posting under your old account? Can you log in to your old account and revoke the connection?

It’s the ltd_exp_fuji bit that links to the wrong handle. Thanks. -
Hi!
Just to make sure I’m understanding correctly, the correct handle is Journo24. The incorrect handle is ltd_exp_fuji. Is that correct?
-
Hi, Thank you for your help.
No, my Twitter handle is @JournoJane. But it used to be Journo24. I changed my handle some time ago, and it now appears someone else uses the name Journo24. The ltd_exp_fuji (no idea what that is) links to that person’s account. Currently, when I tweet about my blog, that’s what shows. -
Thanks for clarifying! There were actually two separate issues here. First, your old Twitter handle was associated with your posts meaning when someone used the Twitter share button, they shared it with the old Twitter handle. That is fixed now.
The second issue is with the Twitter card author (that displays ltd_exp_fuji right now). I believe that this will resolve itself over the next few days. Currently, when I run your post through the Twitter card validator, it shows the correct author here:
Can you let me know if your posts continue to show the incorrect author over the next three to four days?

That sounds very technical! Thank you so much firstly for looking into it, then for clarifying and thirdly for sorting it out. I imagine that means the issues were things that only you guys could fix. Yes, I will let you know over the coming days.
I can see already that I now have a headline in Reader, btw.
Thank you very much again, Jeremey – it’s appreciated. -
