Twitter malfunction

Not all of my tweets are being send or visible on my blog. What could be the cause of this?

Thanks for tour info. Uptill a few days ago all my tweets were send and published on my blog Twitter timeline. Now it seems my tweets are published ar random. I have de-actived Twitter and re-activated my widgets, but to no avail. At the bottom of my posts you can see the icon for Twitter, some with an added nummer, others nog.

It seems that all you have is some tweets is hashtags and @username strings so that could be the cause of your issue.

That said, I have no use for Twitter timeline widgets on blogs and never consult them at all so my experience with them is limited. The problem is not the content of my tweets. The problem is the random publication of my tweets. Some are published, some are not published. This problem started less than a week ago.

Hi there,
I’m sorry for the trouble! I see you have a Twitter Publicize connection set up, and not all of your posts are being published to Twitter. The connection between your blog and Twitter is working, but for some reason Twitter is sending us error messages for some of your posts.
I reported the issue to our developers so they can look into it. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back about that. For now, if a post doesn’t appear on Twitter you will need to manually share it there.

Thank you for some explaination but I would like to add there is more going on.
Twitter has also started to show full length links instead of the usual short link. This all happened in the past week or so. This only seem to happen when publicizing and not when manually adding by clicking the share on twitter button.Just a heads up some issues seem to be occurring on facebook as well

@rantingcrow — That change in how your links appear on Facebook and Twitter is due to some changes our team made to how Publicize works (to help encourage readers to visit your blog and highlight your blog’s address on those updates). We’re investigating to see if these issues are related to those changes, and I’ll let you know as soon as I know more!

Hi, I stumbled upon this thread after searching for recent issues with Twitter, and the way posts are being publicized on Facebook. I am also noticing inconsistency. Some of the posts are showing up on Twitter and some are not.
@rachelmcr, wondering if you could identify for us what exactly has changed in the background for wordpress.com users? I used to see short URL which I don’t anymore. The hashtag option for Facebook also seems to have disappeared.
It would be helpful to know how wordpress.com expects us to use the Publicize, given the new changes. Thanks.

@ismailimail — Our team is investigating the problem with some posts not showing up on Twitter, to get that fixed for everyone. Sorry for the inconsistency there.
Can you describe the trouble you’re having with hashtags on Facebook? I tried it out and hashtags are still working for me — if you can show me a post you publicized where the hashtags didn’t work, I can take a closer look at that for you.

I can not add anything useful on the matter of the relation of Twitter and Facebook, as I do not use Facebook.

@rachelmcr, it seems you guys have fixed this really well. The Twitter is behaving perfectly, even the images are showing up inline (unlike earlier).
I’d only wish for one more thing: have the posts integrate and connect with Facebook, like it does for Twitter. For Twitter, the @name mention pings the other party. It should do the same at Facebook. Perhaps there should be two separate message box in Publicize, one for Twitter and one for Facebook, since Facebook has no character limit either.

Our team fixed up the issue that was causing trouble on Twitter, so all of your posts will show up on Twitter now. :) Please let me know if you run into any more trouble with that!

@rachelmcr, please pardon if this issue is not related here, since i am talking about Facebook and Twitter combined.
I believe this issue with Publicize, is still not fixed completely.
Take a look at this post on Twitter (it looks perfectly fine there). But, the same is not showing up correctly on Facebook.
The Facebook is missing the featured image. Could you please let me know if I need to be mindful of something to make sure it show up the same way on both platforms at once? I must tell you that this issue is sporadic. Most of the posts do show up equally fine on both Twitter and Facebook. I have noticed that it is only sometimes they do not show up correctly on one platform or another.
