  Hi for a school project, I need to create a blog page (did that) and ‘Insert Widget for Twitter Following & Feed’. I’m having trouble finding this widget on WordPress, can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

  There is indeed a widget for that. Have you gone through the steps shown here?

  Go to My Sites → Appearance → Customize and click on Widgets.

  Select the widget area where you’d like the timeline to appear (usually sidebar or footer with most themes.)

  Look for the Twitter Timeline widget and click it to add it.

  Add your username to display the correct timeline.

  Hi there,

  I see you’re using one of our block themes, Russell, so the instructions above won’t work for you, as that theme doesn’t use a widget area.

  Instead, you can add the Twitter block to your site’s templates to embed your Twitter feed. The simplest would be to add it to your site’s footer.

  With widget- and other theme-related questions, make sure to check what theme someone is using. Our new block themes don’t use the Customizer at all for stuff like widgets, menus, custom colors, header and background images, etc., so if someone is using a block theme, we shouldn’t refer them to the Customizer for those things.

  All the themes listed under the Recommended tab in the theme showcase are block themes.

  Something that can help you better support people in this regard is if you created a private test site in your account. Then you can switch that to the theme a user has active, allowing you to make sure how the theme works so you can give the most accurate advice :)
