Twitter share button handle

  Hi, my twitter share button is showing my old handle. I was wondering how do I get it to update to my new handle? It will not change despite re-adding my Twitter account or setting the Twitter username under sharing buttons configuration.

  Hi there. This happens sometimes, and staff can fix it for you, but they need to know both the old and the new Twitter username to do that. Please provide those and I’ll tag this for staff to follow up.

  Ah, I see. Alright, here is my old and new Twitter username.

  old: @KouchWorks
  new: @WinstonKouch

  Hi thank you for looking into it, I can’t verify if its fixed yet.. now the ‘Official Buttons’ are not showing at all for Twitter, Google, Pinterest, etc. even if I activate them they are showing up as empty space.

  I can see the sharing buttons on your posts. They’re not visible on the main feed/home page, but they are on single-post views. If you don’t see them, try clearing your browser cache and cookies. Let us know if that doesn’t help.

  However, I can verify that if I now click the Tweet button it mentions @winstonkouch, so @pmciano’s fix appears to have worked.

  Oops, it was my fault. I was using a computer with Ghostery installed, hence the hidden buttons. It is fixed now :)
