Twitter trackbacks
-
So on a lot of wordpress.com blog comments, I see trackback like things that are like: “[…] This post was Twitted by kgandstuff […]” For example: http://japancinema.net/2009/08/19/the-girl-who-leapt-through-time-review/ shows one such comment
I know that people whom I follow have linked to my posts in twitter, but I was just wondering why I don’t get such trackback comments.
A related question: why do certain links to posts show up as a wordpress comment and trackback and some just don’t? In fact, most trackbacks I’ve gotten are only from wordpress.com blogs, but there are other blogs/ forums that attribute or link back to my posts.
I have enabled trackbacks and such in options too. Thanks in advance for any answers.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve never seen that on a Wp.com blog, and it would be really annoying if it happened, since every time I post a link it gets retweeted at least four times. I don’t know why it’s showing up that way, unless WP.com staff have done something with the shortcodes to make them suddenly show up as trackbacks. Twitter is my #2 referrer right now.

It also appears in this post: http://briandrake.wordpress.com/2009/05/06/the-promise-and-pitfalls-of-sharepoint/
There is a plugin for this function, but tweets’ showing up on wordpress.com is what has me somewhat confused.

It’s hits. So I just left it alone on my blog. It looked legitimate and not spam. Unless I’m missing something.

I sure hope it starts showing up on my blog. Cus there are about 30 people I can walk up to on a Saturday and say “Hello, put out for me”. They’ll be thrilled.
