  I have been trying to add a twitter widget to my blog ever since I started it but to no avail. Please help!

  Hi there. Have you followed the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/

  You first have to create the widget in Twitter itself and then copy the widget ID into the Twitter Timeline Widget under Appearance ->Widgets in your dashboard.
