Twitter widget
-
Why, when I follow all of the steps suggested, won’t the Twitter widget go live on my site? I cut and paste the widget code into it, then I click save and the widget code disappears and it’s as if I’ve never done anything!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your site is not hosted by wordpress.COM and our support docs do not apply to it. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

Well thanks, I guess, but I’m none the wiser about what site I have or where to go for help!

But I’m using WordPress to set up a website and am logged into a wordpress account – which is why it sent me to this forum when I wanted help.

I don’t know how to state this any more clearly than I already have.
Your site is a wordpress.ORG install hosted by Bluehost linked to your wordpress.COM account with the Jetpack plugin so it will display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
We do not provide support for it here at wordpress.COM. That support is at https://wordpress.ORG/support.If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
