Twitter Widget and embeded timelines not working
-
Twitter widget not showing tweets on my blog landing page. I have deleted the old widget and created a new one with a new timeline on my twitter page with no luck. Also, I notice the embedded timelines I have on the other pages are not showing either. These have worked for years. Why now? All it shows is ‘my tweets’.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just to add to this as I have this issue also, I have a number of wordpress.com sites all of which have the same issue
spacedogsradio.com
https://mittentime.wordpress.com/
http://poptronika.com/
https://h0tspace.wordpress.com/ -
I would also like to add to this, not working on mine. i have followed all documentation several times, not sure why it’s not showing.

The only twitter widget that should be used now is the Twitter Timeline Widget. If you add the plain Twitter Widget to your site’s sidebar, there will be a message that you should switch to the Twitter Timeline Widget instead.
In order to use the Twitter Timeline Widget, you need to first create the widget on Twitter before adding the widget ID number to the Timeline Widget in your site’s sidebar.
If you added the Timeline widget from your site’s Customizer, please go to your site’s WP Admin Dashboard>Appearance Widgets and remove and add the Twitter Timeline Widget again.

@chetwin on leadingehs.com – I used the ID number I found on your site, and the Twitter Timeline Widget is working for me. You can see it at the bottom of my test site’s sidebar https://ablogdemo.wordpress.com/
Try removing and then readding the widget from your site sidebar in the WP Admin dashboard as I mentioned above. If you still have a problem, please let us know.

@spacedogsradio – I can see your twitter timeline widget in your
spacedogsradio.com sidebar
mittentime.wordpress.com sidebar
poptronika.com sidebar
h0tspace.wordpress.com sidebarIf you still can’t seem them, please let us know what browser you are using (and version) and if you are using an ad blocking extension, please try disabling it for a moment to see if the timeline shows up for you.

Thanks for the follow up justjennifer. I appreciate your help. I have tried removing and reinstalling the Twitter Timeline widget several times, including just now, with no success. I also deleted and recreated the widget on the twitter account and used the new id number for the WP widget. I have looked at my blog on multiple devices (mobile, laptop and desktop, windows and iOS) and still see only “my tweets” on all pages with twitter timelines installed as a widget or embedded. I have not made any changes to my blog structure recently, this just appeared. What now?

@lutheradams Without a link to the site you need help with, I really can’t start to help you.
Perhaps one of the above solutions can assist; otherwise, please provide the link.

Browsers in use are Chrome 45.0.2454.101 m, Explorer 10.0.9200.17492 and even tried Safari. I’ll try disabling the ad-blocker on chrome. Thanks.

is readded from the widget dashboard as you suggested, which is how I have done it each time.

I can confirm that i had also previously removed and installed the correct twitter timeline, just checked again and now all the tweets are showing, so must have been a glitch for us which now seems to be sorted (at least for me)

All are working again. I didn’t take any action when they just came back on. I greatly appreciate the help!

In noticed that in my efforts to fix this issue, I had accidentally put a second twitter timeline widget after the goodreads widget. I removed it. A couple moments later the twitter feeds just pop up.

Well, I can’t say that the Goodreads widget is the culprit. I just added my own GR widget above the Timeline widget and all is good.
Go figure! :)
