Twitter widget code into wordpress sidebar (no plugin)
-
I have went to twitter and got the code for the widget on their site, however, I’m not sure where to input this code into wordpress. I don’t want to use a plugin. I like twitter’s official widget much better than these other plugins.
Any where to enter this at? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can’t use that widget on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. . What you can do is as follows:
You can enable sharing buttons on your posts, pages and index pages.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/
You can use a Twitter widget > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-widget/You can post a twitter follow button > http://en.support.wordpress.com/twitter-follow-button/
You can set up Publicize and publish to your Twitter profile page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/

Nope, it worked for me. btw I have another wordpress blog of my own, not wordpress.com
I downloaded “Raw HTML” plugin and inserted the code there, dragged it over to the sidebar widget. Works fine. Thanks though.

None of that has any application to blogs here at WordPress.com. Presumably, if you’re asking HERE, you’re asking about WordPress.com. WordPress.ORG questions have to be asked over there, because the answers, obviously, are different.

No, it’s not obviously actually. Assuming this was support for WordPress in general. I have no idea about anything regarding WordPress.com. I’ve assumed that because I’m using WordPress, I can ask here.

You can ask, but you will get only answers geared towards WordPress.com.
There IS no support for WP in general, because the two types of software function so differently.

Didn’t know there was a wordpress.org and .com difference but I do now. I just sort of picked the first result and came along. I know where to go from now on.
Thanks.
