Twitter widget error message
-
The Twitter widget shows this error message 9 times out of 10. We have tried several days now. What are we doing wrong?
“Error: Twitter did not respond. Please wait a few minutes and refresh this page.”
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You may be doing everything right and still get this message because there could be a problem on twitter’s end (not infrequent sadly), network problems, etc.
FWIW I just visited the blog linked to your username and all seems to be well there.

This is happening constantly with me as well. Very frustrating. It seems to be worst when I include the option to show the “follow me” button in the widget. Any solution to this?

It’s Monday morning and prime time for WordPress.com and Twitter use in North America. Twitter is very busy. This message displays when that happens. The error message is intentional. It is displayed so that Twitter and or WordPress don’t become overloaded. My advice is to wait and refresh. I visited your site and the twitter widget is displaying tweets made only 38 minutes ago. Please be patient. -
I have the same problem, but instead of Twitter not responding, the widget displays “No Public Tweets”. I have tried installing several third party twitter widgets, but none of them show up in the widget menu. It is seemingly impossible to install a second twitter widget
