twitter widget not live?

  I am starting to focus more on the Twitter widget on my blog.
  Here is a very basic question.
  It the timeline not live?
  That is to say, do I have to refresh a page every time I want to see the latest tweets in a timeline?
  Is there a way to make Twitter Widget data synchronous with an actual live timeline that is constantly being updated, and not just be an asynchronous snapshot in time of that timeline?

  Widget data is cached and takes time to update. This delay is especially true when you are referring to data that has to be fetched from third party sites.

  No. You don’t have refresh.

  great. thx. then i dont have to use Spaz or some other client. or the Twitter-WP API for live updates. Though I might consider desktop or mobile client app if I want an integrated view of my FB, WP, and Twitter stuff.

  actually i am finding that there is a delay, and that i have to refresjh to get the latest tweet i post to a #. i must be doing something wrong.

  ot to get off topic, but i am quickly discovering that the hashtag i was interested in following and posting to seem to have been largely taken over by spammers and bots with no real dialog between participants —

  so i question the usefulness of tweeting as something i should spend any time on (this is strictly speaking for myself only!)
