Twitter Widget Not Updating

  I used your Twitter Widget to add a Twitter Timeline to my blog. I created the ID on Twitter and the add went just fine. It grabbed my tweets up until that point, but none of my new Tweets are making it. Any thoughts on why?

  That’s easy. All your tweets since then begin with “@somebody”. Tweets like that are only visible to the public on your own Twitter profile page. In order for them to show in your sidebar, you have to put something, anything, in front of the @. Even on Twitter, the only people who follow you who will see those tweets are people following both you AND the person you’re talking to.

  But then why would the tweets with @somebody show up in my Twitter feed on Amazon’s Author Central?

  Different software, pulling tweets differently. Try tweeting something that doesn’t start with @ and see what happens. If it doesn’t show up within a half hour report back here. Sidebars are cached and can take half an hour or so to update.
