Twitter Widget not working for me
-
My Twitter widget is not working; I’m planning to place it in Top Widget Area Three. I generated a Twitter widget code as told, took the number from the URL, pasted where it needed to go, and nothing. Not sure where the problem is coming from; on Twitter’s widget screen the Preview side shows nothing, just the html code near the bottom.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Your Twitter widget appears fine my side. If you still can’t see it, try viewing your blog using a different browser. If you can see it with a different browser it could be an extension/add-on in your regular browser is blocking it. Try disabling all your browser extensions and then add them back one at a time to see which one is causing the problem (when I had the same problem is was the Avast! antivirus extension for Chrome).

I messed around with my Avast settings and it worked! Thanks. I’m sorta miffed that other people might not see it, though. I’ll just have to put up a note about it. Thanks for your help!

You’re welcome. Yeah, in my case it blocked Twitter widgets and also Discuss comments on WP.org sites until I changed the defaults. I like Avast!, but in this case they’re just a little too zealous ;-)
A simple text widget directly below the Twitter one with a short message should do the trick.
