the twitter widget cannot link to my twitter account/timeline. Twitter is coming, but than it doesnt find my twitter account. :( What is the problem.
I was reading the twitter wirdget users manual here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/#twitter-username

didnt find the answer to my problem so far. Any idea?

Have you made sure the widget type is set to “profile”? I know it sounds silly but have you also made sure there are no extra spaces where you entered your twitter handle, it probably has to be the exact account name.

If none of that works could you try using a text widget and entering the shortcode as is described at the bottom of the support page you linked to.

thanks for your answer. Meanwhile i found the problem, fixed. Was a stupid problem.
But now i have an otherone, maybe you know how to fix it.
Id like to have my blogposts on blog page just in shortcuts with “read more” button. But they are showing up completely. Do you know maybe how to set up the “read more” option for them? where?

There’s two options you might be able to use: the read more tag, and excerpts. The latter is dependent on how the theme author has set it up but the read more tag works in any theme.

erious how stupid am i. when i reaad “read more tag” in the forum advices, users manual etc. everywhere else where i searched around cca 10.000 times somehow i took it as it sounds: read_more_tag => that i should give more tags on my post, on whatever reason and then its better for find them, or showes up as more visible…. :/
very good, now im going to try it, and very much thank you for taking the time to explain such base things fo a beginner :)))

That’s OK, it’s only obvious once you know!

My suggestion for the next time you get stuck is that if you find a support page that looks even the tiniest bit like it might help then read it all anyway just in case. The support stuff here is really good and undergoes continuous improvement. Then if you’re still stuck come and ask in the forums and we’ll point you in the right direction or help out!

I was reading them… okay, might be, its also about my english knowledge. Its just exhausting for me, read for 5-6-8 hours desperated in engish (since it isnt my mother tongue) and search the solution for my problem like search a needle in the haymow. :)
Somethimes easier to ask one, who might have the solution for the problem. It helps faster. As the saying goes: more eyes see more. :)
As i see the forum topics, and the qustions, peoples have a lot of problems, but at least in 60-70% of the cases it is the problem of the lack of the knowledge in using, or not using it on the way, how it works, and not like it has bugs or wahtever. So its comforting on a way… :)
After all creating a good quality blog is an improved level of using the internet.
Thank you for your patient, and for your answer.

There are some foreign language forums too, but I don’t think there’s one for Hungarian yet.

No, no its perfectly fine with the english. In english the availibilities are in the most of the cases richer.
