twitter widget problem

the twitter widget cannot link to my twitter account/timeline. Twitter is coming, but than it doesnt find my twitter account. :( What is the problem.
I was reading the twitter wirdget users manual here:https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/#twitter-username
didnt find the answer to my problem so far. Any idea?
