Twitter widget title text style

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

The twitter widget seems to have a text style for the title that’s different from the rest of the widgets.
Is this intentional? It kind of throws off the style for the widgets and for pages in general. Its only the color but it makes it different from other widgets.

You can see what I’m talking about on my blog with the widget titles on the right hand side : Twitter, Facebook, Recent Posts
The last two are in grey which integrates nicely but Twitter is in white.

    Can this be fixed?

    Many thanks
    Paulo

I see exactly the same text style (font) that’s on the rest of your blog. I’m using Firefox 3.6.15. Which browser and version of it are you using?

I’m on Mac 10.6.6 using Chrome 10.0.648.151 and just checked Safari 5.0.4 and the same thing happens. The text font is the same but the strong>colour is different.

It’s because the other widget titles are plain text but the Twitter title is a link to your Twitter page.

Fine, but it means that visually it looks different. Design wise, in my opinion, it throws the page’s look off a bit. Also, there seems to be less space between the twitter title and the first twit than other widgets have between their title and the first line of text (like for example “recent posts”) : it there really less space or is it just that it looks that way?

It looks different because it means something different. But I just wanted to confirm it’s as you said, and to explain why it’s so – regardless of whether you and me like it or not.

The space between the title and the first list item is exactly identical to those of widgets such as the Categories widget. But it looks strange because there’s too much space between each list item and the next.

Anyway, you can’t change the title or the space unless you have the paid CSS upgrade.

OK, understood. Thanks for the explanation.
