Twitter widgets and jetpack buttons not working

Hello,
I’m having trouble with the social media buttons. I installed jetpack and have tried several different widgets for twitter, including embedding a twitter widget into a text widget and nothing is working. When I preview the theme, everything is there on the page but when I save they disappear. Also, when I add my twitter username and save the changes, that disappears too. Any help will be appreciated!

That site is a wordpress.ORG install. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Note that Jetpack is a plugin used by WordPress.ORG bloggers to achieve parity with what we already have built in to WordPress.COM blogs.
